A dedicated application data program designed for use in, or together with, an electrocardiographic long-term ambulatory recording analyser so that this may function according to its intended purpose. This software program can be permanently installed, or exchanged as an upgrade. It may also be produced for installation in an off-the-shelf desktop or laptop computer.

A device intended to be used by a healthcare professional in a clinical setting to acquire and process the electrical activity of the heart for digital display in the form of a graph, to assist a physician in assessing electrical cardiac physiology [electrocardiography (ECG)]. It is designed for recording the electrical signal from two or more configurations of electrodes (ECG-leads) at a time (multichannel) and may be intended for resting ECG and/or stress/exercise ECG. It will either include an integrated display or be designed to transmit ECG data to an off-the-shelf device for display; ECG electrodes may be included. Data interpretation and/or telemetry features might also be included.

An assembly of devices comprising a stress exercise monitoring system designed to record electrocardiograph (ECG) signals from electrodes placed on a patient's limbs and chest while the patient engages in varying degrees of exercise on a device or system of a predetermined kind, e.g., an ergometer. The system will typically analyse the recorded data, display results, monitor various functions, provide control of the workload, and give printouts, providing the clinician with a complete representation of the electrical activity of the heart, including heart rate.
