A collection of various devices intended to be used in the preparation of a patient and equipment for an endoscopy procedure of the gastrointestinal tract or airways. It includes devices intended to support the procedure (e.g., bite block, lubricant jelly, transport pad, bowl, cleaning devices); it does not contain pharmaceuticals. This is a single-use device.

A length of flexible noninvasive tube, typically made of synthetic polymer material(s), intended to interface between suction and/or irrigation devices (e.g., catheters, pumps, collection bottles) during a medical/surgical procedure (not dedicated to ophthalmic use); it might additionally be intended for use during reusable device reprocessing. The tubing may be provided in rolls from which required lengths are cut, or may be provided in predetermined lengths with connectors; it does not include additional associated items such as a clamp, spike, or bag (i.e., not a tubing set). A non-medicated, non-sterile device in the form of a patch or swab (also referred to as a sponge) made from non-woven material (e.g., rayon, polyester, cellulose pulp) and primarily designed to absorb fluids for medical purposes. It is typically used to cover/clean wounds or abrasions and absorb their exudates, absorb body-surface exudates, or to apply topical medications; it is intended to produce less lint and be less adherent than basic woven gauze pads; it does not include petrolatum. A portable bowl or basin designed to be used for a variety of medical purposes such as containing fluids, carrying or holding instruments prior to or during a procedure, and collecting body waste or other matter. The design and shape can vary including round, oblong, deep or quite shallow. This disposable device will typically be incinerated along with its contents if used for waste. This is a single-use device.

A hand-held manual device in the form of a soft or abrasive sponge/pad, sometimes with non-medicated substances (e.g., enzymes, surfactant) and potentially other related items (e.g., receptacle), intended to be used for the pre-cleaning (i.e., removal of gross blood and other organic debris) of medical devices prior to disinfection or sterilization; it is not intended for use during a medical/surgical procedure. This is a single-use device.
