The OPTICAL BIOMETER AL-Scan is a measuring device that can measure as a single unit the values necessary to calculate the power of an IOL for cataract surgery such as axial length, corneal curvature radius, and anterior chamber depth. It measures these necessary values successively through a non-contact optical measurement method. An optional A-scan probe is also available to scan axial length with an ultrasonic measurement function
by touching it to the cornea should optical measurement not be successful. In addition, an anterior eye segment image overlaid with the corneal meridians can be created as a reference for toric IOL implantation. The AL-Scan also has the function to calculate the power of an IOL using measured values such as
axial length.

45721 | Optical pachymeter |
A mains electricity (AC-powered), ophthalmic, device that uses optics to measure the thickness of the cornea. Using optical low coherence reflectometry (OLCR) this device can possibly measure corneal thicknesses to a precision of one micron without having to make contact with the eye surface and no contact fluids are required, nor will it induce any indentation. This device, also known as a pachometer, will provide data that is used to evaluate the results of eye surgery [e.g., laser assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) treatment], monitor epithelium regrowth, and for other ophthalmic measurement evaluations.

35148 | Ophthalmic examination slit lamp |
An electrically-powered, ophthalmic, binocular microscope designed to examine the interior anatomy of the eye by viewing through the pupil; it is not dedicated to surgical procedures. It projects a narrow slit of light into the eye and resulting light reflections are detected obliquely with a travelling microscope to enable observation of the internal ocular structures. It is used to perform a variety of measurements [e.g., intraocular pressure (IOP) or tonometry, corneal thickness, anterior chamber depth] and to evaluate symptoms (e.g., eye itchiness, grittiness, pain, dry eyes, photophobia, and reduced visual acuity).

12811 | Bench-top keratometer |
A bench-top, mains electricity (AC-powered) ophthalmic instrument designed to measure the curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea, particularly for determining the presence, extent, and axis of astigmatism (an error of refraction in the eye due to the cornea being unequally curved in different directions, so that rays of light in different meridians cannot be brought to focus together on the retina). It actually measures the radius of curvature in millimetres but typically displays it in dioptres. It is used mainly for contact lens fitting and for intraocular lens power determination prior to cataract surgery. This device is also known as an ophthalmometer.

11389 | Ophthalmic ultrasound imaging system |
An assembly of mains electricity (AC-powered) devices designed for ophthalmic imaging procedures. It includes software that supports a variety of static and real-time eye and orbital imaging applications including physical measurement and oncology related treatment. It will generate ultrasound pulses, direct them to a target area, detect the resulting ultrasound echoes, and process the resulting information producing and displaying static or dynamic two- or three-dimensional (3-D) images. This GMDN code includes ultrasound imaging systems with, e.g., A-mode, B-mode, Doppler, colour Doppler (CD), M-mode, and duplex (combination imaging, Doppler and/or colour flow) scanning capabilities.
